Beauty portrait retouching photoshop workflow speed art video - one of images from a shoot here in Tokyo with Nicole, a singer from Scotland. We went for a night time flash photography fun run. The video sho0ws a high end retouching which is a time consuming task and there are no shortcuts. For the best quality retouching time and patience is the key. The most consuming parts are the tone smoothing and color corrections of the skin and eyes. That is a very tedious process based on mixing tones on a separate layer or layers, sometimes performed multiple times via frequency separation. Dodging and burning is more of a creative process but it also can take a while, especially if you want to match the colors perfectly.
