FORBIDEN DONUT MACARONS
Makes 30
Recipe can be halved
For the macaron shells:
300g almond flour
300g pure icing sugar (without corn flour added to it)
110g liquefied egg whites (see below)
300g caster sugar
75g water
110g liquefied egg whites
1 tbsp cocoa powder (unsweetened)
4 drops yellow food gel
sprinkles
Royal icing
250g powdered sugar
2 ½ tbsp meringue powder/egg whites or 1 egg white
1 tsp vanilla extract or strawberry essence
1-2 tbsp water
1 drop pink food gel
Frosting
1 batch fluffy vanilla buttercream frosting
2 tsp cinnamon
