7 Modern Disney Animators Wonderfully Reimagine The Seven Dwarfs

I’d totally watch a movie starring the reinterpreted Happy.

Disney recently re-released its very first animated feature ever, the classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on to DVD. As part the release they asked their animators to reinterpret the iconic Dwarfs, and the results are, well, fantastic.

Andy Harkness (Art Director of Environments, Moana) kept Doc looking pretty classic, updating him with a 3D makeover.

To achieve the 3D effect, Harkness sculpted Doc out of clay, photographed him and then painted him Photoshop.

Nara Youn (Animator, Zootopia, and Moana) gave Happy a, um, very trippy makeover -- which she drew on a Post-It.

Benson Shum (Animator, Zootopia, Moana, and Frozen) reinterpreted Bashful in style that is very reminiscent of iconic Disney concept artist, Mary Blair's signature style.
