Eric Molinsky, a storyboard artist on Rugrats from 1999-2001, has penned a personal essay on Studio 360 about his frustration surrounding the babies being reimagined as grown-ups.

"It really bugs me," he writes. "Not the quality of the artwork, but the interpretation. We referred to them as lumpy babies for a reason. If we ever drew the Rugrats as being too cute, our executive producer would scold us."
